A Little Luxury for Mother's DayThese super easy pillowcases will make a wonderful Mother's Day gift. Making them from satin will have her feel so special. The satin should be polyester satin (totally washable and throw in the dryer). The satin is smooth, and for those who love to have their hair done, this will allow you to keep the style a little longer. The satin does not ruffle or fight against the "do." Simply measure a pillow case you have on hand. Allow for 5/8" seam allowances and a deep hem at the opening. Cut 2 pces. of satin the size of your pillow case. Put right sides together and stitch around 3 sides. Turn hem at open end and add lace to finish it off. You can make several up in pretty colours. Embellish to your hearts content, just make sure it is all washable. About the Author Mary Wilkins has three grown children and six perfect grandchildren.
