Attic Treasures & Sew Easy Sewing School is Now the Only Authorized Singer® Dealer in Northern Virginia
Occoquan, VA August 31, 2004 -- Attic Treasures & Sew Easy Sewing School is now an authorized specialty retailer and an authorized e-tailer for the Singer® Sewing Co. As of August 1, 2004, Attic Treasures & Sew Easy Sewing School is the only authorized Singer ® dealer in the Northern Virginia area.
The grand opening event will be held September 18, 2004 at the Springfield Best Western from 10 AM until 8 PM with special guest Cheri Collins and will feature a "Hands on Home Decorating Workshop" with a make and take home project. Ms. Collins is a National Sewing Educator who has extensive knowledge of techniques in sewing, quilting, machine embroidery, and digitizing. She has sewn for Cactus Punch Embroidery, as well as several quilts for Martha Pullen Company – four of which appeared in the "Martha's Quilts" book.
Her samples have been featured on sewing shows and published in various magazines. Registration is only required for the "Hands on Home Decorating Workshop" and seating is limited for this part of the event. There will also be a Trunk Show by DesignCiti with Barb Hartman and Eileen Dittle; specialty booths for Quilting, Memory Crafting, and Mary Kay – Pamper Yourself, and free "Sit ‘n' Sew" sessions on the new Singer® Quantum® Futura embroidery machine.
You can make and take home your own embroidered wine bottle bag or potpourri bag. All materials for the "Sit 'n' Sew" project and sewing machine use are provided free of charge. Door prizes will be awarded hourly and refreshments will be available. Information about products, services, and classes will be available throughout the event.
